Pseudoproscopia trajakan Queiroz & Heleodoro sp. nov.Figs. 93A–B; 99A–G; 100A–D; 101A–JExamined material. Holotype ♂: [BRASIL], “Manicoré [AMAZONAS], Heavelândia, Dez, 2024, Proj. Phasma” (INPA); [BRASIL]” (INPA).Paratypes: BRASIL, AMAZONAS, Humaitá, 7º30'46.6"S / 63º02'04.2"W, Dez, 2024, coleta manual, Proj. Phasma” (1♂ INPA; 1♂ 1♀ MNRJ).Etymology. The name of the species comes from the Oro Win, a language belonging to the linguistic family Txapakura, where “ trajakan ” means grasshopper, which when combined with the generic name forms the name “hidden grasshopper”. Name in apposition.Diagnosis. Posterior femur reaching half of length of tergite 5 (Fig. 99B). Phallic complex with branch of lophi well-pigmented, convex, and highly arched (Figs. 100A–B). Ectophallic valves projecting in the apical portion, highly emarginated medially (Fig. 100A). Distal sac laterally translucent (Fig. 100C). Proximal sac with anterior opening directed towards lophi, with few denticles (Fig. 100C).Description. ♂ (Figs. 93A; 99A–G; 100A–D) Slender body, varying between 7.6 and 8 cm in length. When alive, it has reddish antennae, a grayish head, a light green thorax with red spots, legs and abdomen that are slightly darker green, the abdomen becoming grayish from tergite 7 onwards. When dry, it has a brown, green coloration with red spots. Head. Dark brown, with orange eyes in the dry specimen. With a slight constriction below the eye in dorsal view (Fig. 99A). Gena dark brown with brown spots (Fig. 99C). Eye 1.2 times wider than the smallest width of the head in dorsal view (Fig. 99C). Thorax. Prothorax four times longer than meso- and metathorax combined, light brown with dark brown spots (Figs. 99A–B). Proepisternum red (Figs. 99A–B). Meso- and metathorax with red spots (Fig. 99D). Legs with yellow pigmentation (Figs. 99A–B). Coxae red (Figs. 99A–B; D–E). Posterior femur reaching half of length of tergite 5 (Fig. 99B). Posterior tibia with 12 antero- and posterodorsal spines (Figs. 99A–B). Abdomen. Abdominal segments 8–10 with elongated setae (Figs. 99A–B). Tergite 9 in lateral view with conspicuously concave dorsal margin; widened posterior margin (Fig. 99F). Tergite 10 with slightly emarginate dorsal margin in the apical third (Fig. 99F). Sternite 8 1.3 times shorter than sternite 9 (Fig. 99F). Genitalia. Transverse sclerite slender with concave anterior and posterior margins (Figs. 100A–B). Lophi with a well-pigmented and convex branch, laterally conspicuously arched; hook with acute apex (Figs. 100A–B). Ectophallic valves projecting apically, highly emarginated medially (Fig. 100A). Distal sac laterally translucent (Figs. 100C–D). Proximal sac with an enlarged anterior opening, directed towards lophi, with few small denticles, gradually widening anteriorly (Figs. 100A; C–D).Description. ♀ (Figs. 93B; 101A–J) As in the genus, varying between 15.2 and 15.4 cm in length.Comments. This species can be differentiated from all others by the distal sac without pigmentation, very wide branch of lophi and by the projecting ectophallic valves.Geographical records. BRAZIL, Amazonas, Humaitá, Manicoré (Fig. 94).
