Fastigium 1.4 times longer than high (Figs. 74B, 75A). Prothorax with a horizontal line of rounded protuberances at the level of the pleura (Figs. 74B, 75A). Lateral margin metabasisternum with sternite 1 having a tapered brown spot, giving the impression of a divided margin (Fig. 75B). Sternite 1 with conspicuous protuberances in the anterior portion of the lateral margin (Fig. 75B). Subgenital plate with anteromedially rounded projection (Figs. 74B, 75C). Lophi directed dorsally (Figs. 76A–B). Proximal sac with anterior part without pigmentation (Fig. 76D).Redescription. ♂ (Figs. 74A–D; 75A–C; 76A–D) Slender body, varying between 8.8 and 9 cm, generally dark brown in color with lighter areas at the insertion of the first pair of legs, pronotum, meso- and metathorax, (when dry). Head. Rugose, shiny, in dorsal view with continuous constriction below the eye (Fig. 74A). Occipital margin conspicuously sinuous, best visualized in lateral view (Figs. 74B, 75A); in ventral view with the distance between the posterior margins of the compound eyes 0.8 times smaller than the width of the head, measured at the height of the labrum (Fig. 74C). Fastigium in dorsal view with a base conspicuously wider than the apex, gradually narrowing (Fig. 74A); apex rounded; in lateral view 1.4 times longer than wide (Figs. 74B, 75A). Gena rugose (Fig. 75A). Transverse ridge of the frons with conspicuous punctuations (Fig. 74C); subocular suture inconspicuous (Fig. 74C). Antenna with 7 segments, with a clear groove on the dorsal portion of segments 4–7 (Fig. 74C). Eyes with rounded and spaced spots, in dorsal view 1.1 times wider than the base of the fastigium (Fig. 74A); in lateral view 1.4 times taller than long (Fig. 74A). Thorax. Prothorax with a horizontal line of rounded protuberances at the level of the pleura (Figs. 74B, 75A). Pronotum granular (Fig. 74B). Prescutum 2 trapezoidal, with an anterior base narrower than the posterior; anterior half with horizontal striations (Fig. 74A). Mesoscutum with an emarginate anterior margin; lateral margin almost straight, with slight sinuosity in the anterior portion; posterior margin rounded (Fig. 74A). Prescutum 3 subquadrate, with slight striations (Fig. 74A). Metascutum with an almost straight anterior margin; lateral margin gradually widening towards the posterior margin; posterior margin convex, projecting dorsomedially (Fig. 74A). Metepisternum 4.5 times longer than wide, with the same coloration as the rest of thorax (Fig. 74A). Prosternum granular, with two parallel vertical lines on the second half (Fig. 74C). Metasternum + sternite 1 with lateral margin having a tapered brown spot, giving the impression that the margin is divided (Fig. 75B). Anterior and middle leg with small spines on all margins (Figs. 74A–C). Base of the posterior femur, mainly in ventral view, with large tubercles of lighter coloration than the femur (Figs. 74C, 75B). Posterior tibia with 10 anterodorsal spines and 15 posterodorsal spines (Figs. 74A–B). Abdomen. Tergite 1 with horizontal wrinkles; anterior margin sinuous, with a rounded projection medially; lateral margins sinuous; posterior margin convex (Fig. 74A). Tergite 2 with conspicuous punctures. Tergites 2–7 rectangular in dorsal view, with all margins straight, gradually decreasing in length and width (Fig. 74A). Tergite 6 in dorsal view trapezoidal; anterior margin narrower than posterior; laterally rectangular, longer than tall (Figs. 74A, 75C). Tergite 9 subtrapezoidal, with anterior margin much shorter than posterior margin; posterior margin almost straight (Fig. 75C). Tergite 10 narrow, gradually widening towards the apex (Fig. 75C). Epiproct spadiform, with anterior and posterior margin convex, laterally widened at the base, gradually narrowing towards apex (Fig. 74A). Sternite 1 with conspicuous protuberances on the anterior portion of the lateral margin (Fig. 75B). Sternite 8 with anterior margin thinner than posterior margin; lateral margins straight (Fig. 74C). Sternite 9 with convex anterior and posterior margins, 1.3 times longer than wide (Fig. 74C). Subgenital plate in dorsal view with a D shape (Fig. 74A), having a rounded projection anteromedially (Fig. 75C).Genitalia. Epiphallic rim, membranous with irregular shape (Figs. 76A–B). Transverse sclerite with straight anterior margin; posterior margin in the shape of canine teeth, with rounded projections, reaching half of the height of the branch of lophi, with tips directed towards the posterior part of the genitalia (Figs. 76A–B). Branch of lophi arched; hook directed dorsally, with the anterior part of the hook light brown, gradually darkening towards the apex (Figs. 76A–B); in lateral view with a truncated apex (Fig. 76C). Subepiphallic layer membranous, covering less than half of the ectophallic valves (Figs. 76A–B). Ectophallic valves joining (Figs. 76A–B); posterior half wider than anterior half in lateral view; ratio of the height of the ectophallic valves by the length of the lophi hook = 2.9 (Fig. 76C). Phallotreme spaced a teardrop shape (Figs. 76A–B). Distal sac membranous, covering the proximal sac, with an irregular anterior portion, gradually taking the shape of the proximal sac (Figs. 76C–D). Proximal sac sclerotized, with an unpigmented anterior portion (Figs. 76C–D); pigmented posterior portion being in lateral view (Fig. 76C). Membranous ejaculatory duct, with anterior portion inside the proximal sac; apical portion fringed, very tapered (Figs. 76C–D).Comments. Transverse sclerite thin, with anterior margin medially emarginated, posterior margin sinuous. Branch of lophi widened only at mesial margin, lateral margin curved. Hook of lophi in dorsal view is wide and slightly elongated, with apex having more than one acute projection. Ectophallic valves not projected posteriorly.Description. This species is well described in Queiroz & Rafael (2019).Comments. Milenascopia tenuis comb. nov. and Milenascopia vazferreirai comb. nov. can be differentiated from all others by the ectophallic valves not projecting. These two species can be differentiated from each other by the anterior margin of transverse sclerite, which is medially emarginated in Milenascopia tenuis comb. nov. and medially raised in Milenascopia vazferreirai comb. nov. Furthermore, the branch of lophi is mesially enlarged and the ectophallic valves are widened in the first species and both structures not enlarged in the latter.Geographical records.
