Abstract. The paper analyzes the foreign experience of developing recreational tourism in mountain areas through the model of the Alpine countries (Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy). It examines the key elements of the Alpine model – year-round tourism, diversification, cluster-based management, ecological sustainability, local community involvement and state support. The possibilities of applying this experience to the mountain areas of Uzbekistan, in particular the Turkestan Range (Zaamin, Bakhmal) in the south of the Jizzakh region and the Nurata Mountains (Forish, Gallaorol), are substantiated.

On the body of a huddled man dressed in a heavy robe, a nude woman stretches herself sensuously. With his face against the ground, the monk desperately embraces the cross to escape this fleshly temptation. According to tradition, St. Anthony, who lived alone in the desert, was haunted by visions of temptresses. This episode of the hermit's life is, however, only a pretext for Rodin.   The work must be seen from all sides in order to appreciate the full impact of the psychological and physical tension of the composition. The sculptor plays with the opposition between the closed and tormented body of the saint and the nude body of the woman, voluptuously writhing and open. The holy man is almost totally concealed within his rough garments, and his head is covered with a hood. The folds of his clothing convey the tension in his body. The features of his face, pressed against the cross, indicate his internal struggle. The woman is a luminous body without a soul. The different ways the marble is sculpted recall the different steps of creation and reinforce this antagonism. On the barely finished, nearly raw base, Rodin has indicated the roughness of the woolen cloth - and of the figure - with chisel marks. A polished marble finish capturing light and soft curves is used only for the body of the woman.

This work by Italian artist Guido Mazzoni (Modena 1450 c. - 1518) depicts the head of the Dead Christ, a fragment which might have been part of an overall figure used in a group scene. Mazzoni produced various religious sculptural groups in his lifetime, most well known for his Adoration of the Shephers in Modena Cathedral, as well as his Compiantos (deposition and lamentation over the dead Christ), the latter of which this work might have been intended. The work originates from Venice, the Chiesa di Sant'Antonio di Castello, given by the Fondazione Breda in 1907

The Albert Memorial is situated in Kensington Gardens, London, directly to the north of the Royal Albert Hall. It was commissioned by Queen Victoria in memory of her beloved husband, Prince Albert who died of typhoid in 1861. The memorial was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the Gothic Revival style. Opened in July 1872 by Queen Victoria, with the statue of Albert ceremonially seated in 1875, the memorial consists of an ornate canopy or pavilion, in the style of a Gothic ciborium over the high altar of a church, containing a statue of the prince facing south. The memorial is 176 feet (54 m) tall, took over ten years to complete, and cost £120,000 (the equivalent of about £10,000,000 in 2010). The cost was met by public subscription. At the corners of the central area, and at the corners of the outer area, there are two allegorical sculpture programs: four groups depicting Victorian industrial arts and sciences (agriculture, commerce, engineering andmanufacturing), and four more groups representing Europe, Asia, Africa and The Americas at the four corners, each continent-group including several ethnographic figures and a large animal. (A camel for Africa, a bison for the Americas, an elephant for Asia and a bull for Europe.) The central sculpture of Albert can be accessed and downloaded here. A larger than life-size sculptured head. The hair is carved into thick strands secured by a narrow band or diadem, and two curled locks descend onto the cheeks in front of the projecting ears. The intensity of expression is striking, while the exaggerated features and flatness of the face recall Roman theatre masks. The head is a fusion of native British and Roman styles. It was probably a finial from a funerary monument or enclosure alongside Watling Street outside the Roman town of Towcester (Lactodurum). Description:The head is set, frontal and neckless, upon a base. The facial features are striking, because of the intensity of feeling conveyed and because of the linear style of raised ridges in which they are rendered. The eyes are set close together under a furrowed brow: they are almond-shaped and protuberant, with the lids defined by ridges and the pupils by a drilled hole. The nose is long and separated by a groove from the mouth, which is small and down-turned. The chin is prominent. The hair is shown as thick strands, drawn to the sides from a central parting and secured by a narrow band or diadem, with central rosette. A stylised kiss-curl (rather incongruously) lies on each cheek. The whole face has a mask-like quality because it is so flat: the ears are depicted frontally, and a profile view shows that the brow, nose and chin all project in the same plane (CSIR I, 8).
