This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the main empirical, equivalent-fluid, poroelastic, resonant, and numerical models used to describe sound absorption in porous materials. Each model is described in detail with regard to its theoretical basis, governing equations, and key physical parameters. Special attention is devoted to the assumptions underlying each model, such as whether the frame is rigid or flexible, the applicable fre-quency range, and the types of porous media they most accurately represent. The ad-vantages and limitations of the different approaches are critically assessed in terms of pre-diction accuracy, computational complexity, physical interpretability, and experimental requirements. In addition, this paper summarizes and critically discusses published model–experiment comparisons for representative porous and resonant acoustic materi-als. These comparisons highlight the strengths and weaknesses of different modeling strategies in various acoustic applications and provide guidance for selecting the most suitable model according to the material properties and target frequency range. The re-view shows that equivalent-fluid models generally provide the best compromise between prediction accuracy and computational efficiency for rigid-frame porous materials, whereas Biot-type poroelastic models are more suitable when frame motion cannot be neglected.

AbstractThe increasing use of smartphones has transformed the way English is taught and learned in higher education. Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) has become an important component of modern language education because it enables learners to study beyond the classroom and access authentic learning materials at any time.In Uzbekistan, the growing availability of smartphones and mobile Internet has created favorable conditions for integrating mobile technologies into English language teaching. Applications such as Duolingo, Quizlet, BBC Learning English, and Cambridge Dictionary allow students to strengthen vocabulary, improve pronunciation, develop listening skills, and practice grammar independently. These tools also encourage learner autonomy by giving students greater control over the pace and place of learning.

Forward and reverse Sanger sequencing chromatograms (AB1 format) for fifteen bacterial isolates, from the near-full-length 16S rRNA gene amplified with the universal primers 27F and 1492R (~1,465 bp amplicon). These 15 read pairs (30 files) are the validation dataset for ChromaView, an open-source desktop application for Sanger chromatogram analysis. A mapping of study sample identifiers to file names and embedded ABI sample names is included (see README). Trimming, NCBI BLAST identification, and forward–reverse consensus assembly are described in the associated software (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.20740237) and manuscript.

This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the main physical and empirical models used to describe sound absorption in porous materials. Each model is described in detail with regard to its theoretical basis, governing equations, and key physical parameters. Special attention is devoted to the assumptions underlying each model, such as whether the frame is rigid or flexible, the applicable frequency range, and the types of porous media they most accurately represent. The advantages and limitations of the different approaches are critically assessed in terms of prediction accuracy, computational complexity, and experimental requirements. In addition, the paper presents illustrative simulations of frequency dependencies of the sound absorption coefficient for various porous materials based on these models, which reproduce experimental data reported in the relevant literature. These comparisons highlight the strengths and weaknesses of different modeling strategies in various acoustic applications and provide guidance for selecting the most suitable model according to material properties and target frequency range.

Cet article présente les résultats d'une recherche de master en psychopédagogie de la perception portant sur les impacts de l'expérience du Sensible — telle que développée par Danis Bois — sur le déploiement des potentialités du chanteur lyrique. Chanteuse et pédagogue vocale, l'auteure interroge le rapport du chanteur à son corps, à ses perceptions et à son expression artistique, à partir d'une problématique récurrente en pédagogie vocale : l'opposition entre technique corporelle entraînée volontairement et spontanéité émotionnelle du geste vocal.
Adoptant une démarche qualitative de type heuristique, l'étude s'appuie sur l'accompagnement en psychopédagogie de la perception de deux chanteurs professionnels ainsi que sur le journal de bord de l'auteure elle-même, croisés par une analyse catégorielle puis un récit phénoménologique et une lecture herméneutique transversale des trois cas.
Les résultats mettent en évidence trois axes convergents : un effet curatif immédiat sur la gestion du stress et des tensions corporelles, une transformation profonde du rapport au corps (d'un corps-objet à un « corps Sensible »), et une évolution perceptive favorisant une présence à soi et à autrui accrue. Ces transformations se traduisent par un gain en stabilité vocale, en confiance et en authenticité expressive, tout en soulignant la nécessité d'un accompagnement de long terme et d'une appropriation autonome de l'expérience par le sujet.

Comparative Economic Efficiency of Certified Rice Seed Production and Rice Grain Farming: A Case Study in Subak Dlod Sema, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia

The expansion of rice harvested area in Badung Regency has increased the demand for certified rice seed. However, rice seed production in Subak Dlod Sema, one of the major seed production centers in the region, currently fulfills only approximately 29.3% of the seed requirement based on the harvested area. This study aimed to compare the economic efficiency of certified rice seed production and rice grain farming and to identify the factors contributing to technical inefficiency in both farming systems. The study involved 53 farmers, consisting of 15 certified rice seed producers and 38 rice grain farmers. Data were analyzed using Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA), while Net Profit Margin (NPM) was employed as a complementary indicator of farm profitability. The results showed that both farming systems achieved high levels of technical efficiency but remained inefficient in terms of allocative and economic efficiency. The average technical efficiency scores were 0.954 for certified rice seed production and 0.985 for rice grain farming, while allocative efficiency averaged 0.281 and 0.234, respectively. Economic efficiency values were 0.267 for certified rice seed production and 0.231 for rice grain farming. These findings indicate that farmers were able to produce outputs close to the production frontier; however, the allocation of production inputs relative to their costs had not yet reached the economically optimal level. Farmers' age, formal education, and household size had no significant effect on technical inefficiency in either farming system, whereas farming experience significantly reduced technical inefficiency only in rice grain farming. Furthermore, certified rice seed production generated a higher Net Profit Margin (34.36%) than rice grain farming (22.45%), indicating greater profitability. Overall, the findings suggest that improving allocative efficiency is essential for enhancing economic performance, while the higher profitability of certified rice seed production highlights its potential for expansion to strengthen the availability of certified rice seed in Badung Regency.
