The Molluscs of the Rocky Outcrops in Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park: A Study of the Impact of Trampling and Erosion.- This study investigates the diversity of land snails in the rocky outcrops of the Montcau area and evaluates the effects of visitor trampling and erosion. A total of 42 mollusc species were recorded, but heavily trampled areas supported significantly fewer individuals, particularly Xerocrassa montserratensis. The authors conclude that regulating visitor access and controlling erosion are essential to protect these sensitive habitats.

Phonemic awareness is a fundamental component of early literacy that enables learners to recognize and manipulate the individual sounds in spoken words, thereby supporting the development of decoding, reading fluency, and reading comprehension. In view of its critical role in reading acquisition, this study determined the relationship between phonemic awareness and the reading skills of Grade 1 learners in the District of San Jorge, Schools Division of Samar, during the School Year 2022–2023. Employing a descriptive-correlational research design with comparative analysis, the study examined the influence of selected learner characteristics on reading proficiency and assessed learners' level of phonemic awareness in terms of rhyming recognition, rhyming production, word awareness, syllable awareness, initial sound identification, final sound identification, sound segmentation, and sound blending. Reading proficiency was measured using the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA), while phonemic awareness was assessed using the Quick Phonological Awareness Screening (QPAS). The findings revealed that among the learner profile variables, only gross monthly family income had a significant influence on reading proficiency. The learners generally obtained similar scores in the phonemic awareness assessment, resulting in no observable variation in QPAS scores. Consequently, no significant linear relationship was established between phonemic awareness and reading proficiency as measured by the CRLA. The findings further indicated that the QPAS and CRLA assess different dimensions of early literacy and therefore function as independent assessment tools. It is recommended that both instruments be used complementarily to provide a more comprehensive evaluation of learners' foundational literacy skills and to guide the development of targeted reading intervention programs.

This paper presents the Unified Feature Language (UFL), an architecture for intermediate representations that supports cross-model feature exchange and human participation in the evolution of those representations. The central contribution is a single architectural principle: the strict separation of human meaning-making (Cognitive Layer), machine- independent state (Universal Intermediate Representation, UIR), and model-specific trans- lation (Transformation Layer) into three layers with non-overlapping responsibilities.
The previous revision carried the separation to what we argue is its fixed point: the intermediate representation itself must be representation-free. The UIR is defined not as a coordinate space with named dimensions but as a structure identified only up to admissible isomorphism — the invariant of the ε-preserving transformations that connect it to model spaces. Concrete numeric realizations are demoted to charts: versioned, replaceable coor- dinate systems through which all access to state vectors passes. Six design principles force the intermediate unit into the form (id, parent, chart, v): an anonymous vector, well-formed only relative to a declared chart, organized as an append-only tree.
The present revision adds no principle. It adds an empirical hypothesis about what the invariant U contains, prompted by recent evidence that language models maintain inter- nally a small, privileged set of representations with the functional properties of a global workspace (Gurnee et al., 2026). We state the workspace correspondence hypothesis — that U is realized, within useful bounds, by aligning models’ workspace subframes rather than their full representation spaces — together with three falsifiable predictions, a fourth chart-establishing regime that follows from it, and two consequences the architecture must absorb: that a chart inheriting a workspace is a chart whose components arrive already named, which is precisely the condition Chart Neutrality was written to expel; and that the workspace’s documented selectivity implies no single chart can serve both human vocab- ulary evolution and reconstruction-grade fidelity. We regard the hypothesis as the sharpest currently available statement of the architecture’s central empirical dependency, and we are careful to mark where it is conjecture.

Bu araştırmanın amacı Halil Cibrân’ın otobiyografik nitelik taşıyan Kırık Kanatlar eserini Teun A. Van Dijk’in eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi yaklaşımına göre incelemektir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yaklaşımına dayanmaktadır. Araştırma verilerini Halil Cibrân tarafından yazılan الاجنحة المتكسرة (Kırık Kanatlar) adlı eser oluşturmaktadır. Veriler, makro yapı – mikro yapı – ideolojik kare ve sosyo-bilişsel yapı bağlamında dört alt başlığa ayrılmış ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Bulgular eserin makro yapısında ataerkil toplumsal düzenin kadın üzerinde kurduğu baskının temel tema olarak işlediğini göstermektedir. Mikro yapı düzeyinde ise kullanılan metaforlar, duygusal anlatım biçimleri ve karşıtlıklar aracılığıyla kadın karakterin sessizliği ve çaresizliği vurgulanırken erkek egemen otoritenin meşrulaştırıldığı söylemsel örüntüler tespit edilmiştir. Van Dijk’in ideolojik kare modeli bağlamında metinde biz ve öteki ayrımı üzerinden erkek egemen yapının kendini olumlu, kadını ise edilgen bir konumda temsil ettiği görülmüştür. Sosyo-bilişsel boyutta ise yazarın toplumsal belleğe ve okuyucunun zihinsel şemalarına hitap eden anlatım stratejileri kullandığı ve böylece ataerkil düzenin eleştirisini okuyucu bilincinde yeniden yapılandırdığı belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak çalışma, Kırık Kanatlar eserinin söylemsel yapısının, bireysel bir anlatının ötesinde toplumsal gerçekliği yeniden inşa eden ideolojik bir alan sunduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yönüyle araştırma, edebi metinlerin eleştirel söylem çözümlemesi bağlamında incelenmesinin, metinlerin derin yapılarının anlaşılmasına önemli katkılar sağladığını göstermektedir.
