This article substantiates the technology for producing jacquard cotton-silk long-striped knitted fabrics aimed at expanding the range and improving the quality indicators of knitted products. Two variants of cotton and silk yarn with linear densities of 20 and 14.3 tex were developed and tested on the LONGXING 252 flat knitting machine. Cotton-silk jacquard knit fabrics differ from each other in the amount of raw materials and the change in the fabric structure. Cotton-silk jacquard knitted fabrics are recommended for the production of lightweight outerwear, women's, and children's assortment.

Blumea lacera DC. is a wild herb belonging to Asteraceae family. It is commonly found in wastelands and agricultural fields of India. The plant has been used in traditional medicine for treating wounds, skin diseases, boils and inflammation. The main reason for medicinal use is presence of secondary metabolites like alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols and tannins. However, the amount of these compounds can vary with geographical location, soil type and climatic condition. The present study was designed to evaluate the phytochemical profile of leaf extracts of B. lacera collected from five different locations of Gaya District, Bihar. The locations selected were Gaya City, Belaganj, Bodhgaya, Tekari and Dobhi. The leaves were extracted using three solvents: methanol, ethanol and distilled water. Both qualitative and quantitative phytochemical tests were performed. Results indicated that methanol extract gave the highest yield compared to other solvents. Qualitative analysis showed presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, tannins and saponins in all samples. Quantitative analysis revealed that Dobhi and Tekari samples had significantly higher total phenol and flavonoid content. The highest phenol content 78.9 mg GAE/g and flavonoid content 61.4 mg QE/g was recorded in Dobhi sample. Belaganj sample showed lowest values. This study concludes that geographical variation affects the chemical composition of B. lacera. Plants from Dobhi and Tekari are better in terms of phytochemical content. The high amount of phenols and flavonoids supports the traditional use of this plant for antimicrobial and wound healing purpose. Further work is needed to isolate and identify the active compounds responsible for medicinal activity.

Women in Indian society have been tied down and exploited by cruel people reinforced by the patriarchal setup which was the accepted societal norm in India not many decades ago. This oppression finds resonance in many short stories like ‘The Intrusion’ by Shashi Deshpande and ‘The Shroud’ by Munshi Premchand. Budhia and the deliberately unnamed protagonist of ‘The Intrusion’ are (arguably) the central figures of both of these short stories. These characters aptly represent the pitiable condition of married women oppressed by patriarchy which has subjugated, de – humanized and subsequently objectified them over centuries. Deshpande creates an unnamed protagonist who is married to a supposedly educated man who has a job that can sustain him, however, Budhia in ‘The Shroud’ is married to an uneducated ‘shirker’ but still receives more or less the same neglect and exploitation from her husband, her father-in-law and the society in general. This present research paper is a humble submission to critically analyse how the oppression of married women at the hands of patriarchal norms is portrayed in Indian literature and how the plight of women remains consistent irrespective of the time period or social conditions. A comparative analysis between these two stories can easily reveal the subtle yet infinitely binding limitations placed on women by a society in which the vulnerable unnamed protagonist of ‘The Intrusion’ is raped by her husband and will likely be traumatized for her entire life and where Budhia receives only exploitation, even after death.

According to scientific literature, up to 40% of complications encountered during various stages of orthognathic treatment for patients with jaw deformities occur in the postoperative period. Therefore, consistent and rational postoperative rehabilitation measures, involving related specialists, play a crucial role in preventing these complications.

The vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 seeks to transform India into a developed nation by the centenary of its independence. While the discourse surrounding this vision has largely focused on domestic economic growth, governance reforms, technological innovation, and social development, its external dimension remains equally significant. This paper examines the evolving nature of India’s foreign policy in the context of Viksit Bharat 2047 and argues that India’s diplomatic strategy is increasingly becoming development-oriented, integrating economic growth, technological advancement, strategic security, and global influence within a coherent framework of national transformation. Drawing upon theories of strategic autonomy, developmental statecraft, and emerging power diplomacy, the study analyzes India’s engagement with major powers, the Global South, multilateral institutions, and regional organizations. It argues that contemporary Indian foreign policy represents a transition from a reactive and security-centric approach toward a multidimensional model of developmental diplomacy aimed at creating favorable international conditions for domestic modernization.
The paper further contends that India’s aspiration to become a developed country by 2047 is inseparable from its ambition to emerge as a leading power in the evolving multipolar international order. However, challenges such as geopolitical rivalries, technological dependence, climate vulnerabilities, regional instability, and institutional constraints continue to shape India’s strategic choices. Through qualitative analysis of policy documents, academic literature, and contemporary developments, the study concludes that the success of Viksit Bharat 2047 depends upon India’s ability to effectively integrate domestic developmental priorities with a flexible, adaptive, and forward-looking foreign policy. Such a strategy has the potential not only to enhance India’s national capabilities but also to position it as a key architect of the twenty-first-century international order.
