We have been enticed time and again to work on challenging problems that were not even remotely related to our core expertise and qualifications. Such are the ruses of practical life. However, we have a sort of accepting such tests with a candid heart. At one such moment, we were asked to reflect on how high performance computing techniques could be applied to problems in financial modeling.
