Traditional economic paradigms have long relied on methodological individualism, modeling market clearing through atomic actors in instantaneous, frictionless, and decontextualized transactions. However, real-world economic systems exhibit profound context dependency, temporal continuity, and complex interconnectedness. This paper proposes a comprehensive theoretical framework termed "Economic Relational Dynamics" (ERD), shifting the analytical core of economics from static individual agents to dynamic relationships.
We conceptualize economic relations through a four-dimensional space comprising transactional, trust, dependency, and network relations. Using endogenous evolutionary frameworks and differential equations expressed in plain text, we formalize the asymmetric dynamics of trust accumulation and collapse, the self-reinforcing mechanisms of asymmetric dependency driven by switching costs, and the endogenous structural evolution of complex economic networks. The analysis demonstrates that economic relations serve not merely as information channels, but as substantive micro-institutional foundations governing value creation and extraction. At the micro-level, relational interactions exhibit strong non-linear and positive feedback effects. When aggregated, these micro-dynamics give rise to macro-level emergent phenomena, including multi-stability, phase transitions, system path dependency, and structural fragility. This framework offers a unified analytical lens for non-contractible governance, industrial cluster evolution, financial contagion, and supply chain resilience, providing novel insights for topology-aware macroeconomic policy design.

Programme paper P5 of the CAOS_LDA_HSI series. The interpretability claim of LDA-on-HSI rests on the assumption that topic-word distributions are human-readable. This study is restricted to the LDA backbone; the cross-backbone comparison (HDP, ProdLDA, ETM) is the subject of the companion paper P4.We test three orthogonal post-hoc interpretability axes on the V1-V15, V17-V20 wordification sweep (nineteen LDA-fitted recipes) from companion paper P3: F-13 SHAP attribution of pixel-to-topic decisions via a closed-form posterior, F-22 counterfactual L1 perturbation required to flip a document's argmax topic, and F-15 LLM-as-judge alignment between a document's top tokens and its argmax topic's top tokens.Three concrete results. (1) F-13 SHAP gives recipe-specific explanations consistent across scenes: V1 reduces to specific wavelength bands, V7 to absorption features, V12 to clusters of Gaussian-mixture components. (2) F-22 counterfactual L1 separates recipes into an ultra-robust band (V20/V12/V3, sentinel-patched means 26.3/24.5/23.5, in which most sampled documents never flip within 50 steps), a moderate band (V1=6.1, V7=5.2) and a fragile band (V9=1.0, V10=1.2); within the ultra-robust band the ordering is not strict (V12 is the most robust recipe where flip-sampling is adequate). (3) F-15 LLM-judge alignment is anti-correlated with F-2 coherence on large-vocabulary recipes, but cardinality cannot explain the gap: V20 matches V3/V12 alphabet sizes yet scores F-15 = 0.64 against their 0.12/0.16. We make the mechanism quantitative with the token-mass dispersion metric (effective vocabulary N_eff = exp(H(phi_k))): N_eff falls V3 (431) > V12 (400) > V20 (309) while F-15 rises in lock-step, so the artefact is driven by token-mass dispersion, not nominal vocabulary cardinality. We recommend reporting F-13 SHAP top-K attributions as the primary interpretability artefact, F-22 as the topic-stability artefact, and F-15 only after dispersion normalisation.Code and derived artefacts: https://github.com/fsantibanezleal/CAOS_LDA_HSI . Which Wordification Matters? A Nineteen-Recipe Sweep of the Interpretable-Topic-Model Framework on Hyperspectral Imagery

Programme paper P3 of the CAOS_LDA_HSI series. The flagship paper (P1) introduces a twelve-axis evaluation framework for topic models on hyperspectral imagery and instantiates it on a single canonical wordification recipe (V1, band-frequency tokenisation). This manuscript asks a different question: how does the choice of wordification itself shape the conclusions of that framework.We define a family of nineteen wordification recipes (V1-V15, V17-V20) spanning seven axes of design freedom (token alphabet, spatial vs spectral aggregation, local vs global vocabulary, document-length regime, signal transform, label-aware weighting, learnt representation) and sweep them through the framework on the six labelled scenes (Indian Pines, Salinas, Salinas-A, Pavia University, Kennedy Space Center, Botswana) and five HIDSAG mineralogical subsets.The headline finding is that there is no universal winner: V1 wins F-2 coherence on 2/6 scenes; V3 (joint band-bin Cartesian vocabulary) wins F-7 topic-label normalised MI on 2/6; V12 (Gaussian-mixture tokens) wins F-2 and F-7 on 2/6 each; V20 (mutual-information-weighted bands) wins F-2 (0.88) and F-7 NMI (0.44) together on Indian Pines and is among the most counterfactually robust recipes at Q=8 (with V12 and V3). A Q-sweep (Q in {8,16,32}) identifies V20, V2 and V8 as the recipes whose F-7 NMI and F-2 coherence both improve monotonically, with the V20 vs V12 ranking inverting between Q=8 and Q=32. A four-backbone extension of F-7 identifies V8 (NFINDR endmember-fraction) as the most cross-backbone-consistent recipe. We report the full 19 x 12 x 11 result matrix, identify five axis-recipe affinities, and recommend V1 retain its canonical status as a reproducibility default rather than a universal best.Code and derived artefacts: https://github.com/fsantibanezleal/CAOS_LDA_HSI . Traditional neoclassical economics heavily borrows from classical mechanics, assuming that economic systems operate around equilibrium states with reversible dynamics. However, real-world economic processes exhibit strong path dependence, non-linearity, and historical irreversibility. This paper constructs a comprehensive theoretical framework for "Economic Reversibility Theory" to systematically analyze the mechanisms, boundaries, and systemic consequences of economic state transitions. At the micro level, asset specificity and sunk costs create real option value, generating hysteresis in corporate entry and exit decisions. At the meso and technological levels, increasing returns and network externalities drive positive feedback loops, leading to technological lock-in and path dependence. At the macro and institutional levels, asymmetric transaction costs of institutional change and cognitive stickiness restrict the system from resetting to prior states. Integrating non-equilibrium thermodynamics and dissipative structure theory, this paper introduces the concept of economic entropy to explain the irreversible arrow of time in economic evolution. The findings demonstrate that absolute reversibility is unattainable in reality, while relative reversibility is strictly bounded by bifurcation thresholds and structural costs. The study concludes with policy implications for macroeconomic stabilization, industrial unlocking, and environmental sustainability, emphasizing the critical importance of bottom-line thinking and path management in complex economic systems.

Objetivo da pesquisa: essa pesquisa se destinou ao estudo da cultura nas organizações e dos processos de comunicação presentes na Diretoria de Tecnologia da Informação da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais e buscou compreender a influência das representações sociais presentes no jornal “O Sistemático”, segundo a percepção dos servidores, e seu impacto na cultura na organização.
Enquadramento teórico: considerando a cultura como uma metáfora da organização, buscou-se identificar as representações sociais (Moscovici, 2007) propagadas pelo jornal “O Sistemático” e através de uma abordagem multiparadigmática, valendo-se das perspectivas da integração, diferenciação e fragmentação, propostas por Joanne Martin (1992), analisar como essas são vistas pelos membros atuais.
Metodologia: enquadrando-se como um estudo de caso, a pesquisa assumiu enfoque qualitativo. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de entrevistas com os servidores e da análise documental das edições do jornal interno do setor. As informações obtidas no decorrer da investigação foram analisadas sob a ótica da Análise do Discurso, dando enfoque na interpretação social dos discursos e na relação entre as falas, textos e comportamentos oriundos do contexto social pesquisado.
Resultados: os resultados apontaram para uma organização em que, embora propagavam-se em seu canal de informação representações que denotavam um ambiente com tendência à integração, a realidade organizacional apontava que essa perspectiva pouco é percebida no cenário atual. A saída de membros antigos da organização e a entrada de servidores mais jovens provocou uma mudança nos valores integradores de outro tempo, levando ao declínio das representações sociais presentes no jornal. A organização foi percebida como um ambiente permeado por grupos e manifestações individuais, marcando a forte presença das perspectivas da diferenciação e fragmentação de Martin (1992). Nesse contexto, concluiu-se que a reformulação do mecanismo de comunicação é uma ação importante no sentido de proporcionar maior representatividade da diversidade cultural presente na organização.
Originalidade: ao associar a Teoria das Representações Sociais com a abordagem multiparadigmática de Matin (1992), essa pesquisa possibilitou identificar por uma nova lente os aspectos culturais do setor e as manifestações percebidas pelos membros. Deste modo, aavaliação dessa percepção abordou a representatividade cultural em relação às matérias retratadas em “O Sistemático” e a respeito do próprio jornal.
Contribuições práticas: considerando as sugestões e críticas apontadas pelos membros da organização, essa pesquisa propõe conteúdos e formatos para um novo canal de informação para o setor. A intenção nessa proposta é desenvolver um mecanismo que seja representativo dos valores e ideais da cultura atual na organização, possibilitando a participação e manifestações dos servidores quanto a sua construção e manutenção.

Traditional mainstream economics has long relied on equilibrium analysis and the assumption of rational actors, simplifying the economic system into a mechanical system with deterministic solutions obtainable through linear equations. However, the high degree of uncertainty, nonlinear mutations, endogenous crises, and continuous emergence of innovations exhibited in real-world economic operations have profoundly exposed the explanatory limitations of the traditional equilibrium paradigm. This paper systematically elucidates and constructs the theoretical system and analytical framework of "Economic Complex Adaptology." This discipline views the economic system as a complex adaptive system (CAS) composed of a massive number of micro-agents with active learning and adaptive capabilities. This paper delves into the rule evolution, information processing, and trial-and-error mechanisms of micro-agents in a dynamic competitive environment, elucidating how micro-interactions "emerge" into complex structures and orders at the macro level through nonlinear positive and negative feedback mechanisms. Furthermore, it analyzes the intrinsic mechanisms of self-reorganization, topological network reconstruction, and resilient evolution of the system in the face of external shocks and endogenous disturbances. Research shows that the long-term evolution of the economic system does not converge to a single static equilibrium, but rather exists in a state of continuous adaptive reconstruction on the "edge of chaos" driven by uncertainty and dynamic competition. Based on this, this paper proposes an adaptive governance and resilience policy design approach for complex economic systems, providing a new perspective and paradigm tool for solving practical problems such as macroeconomic fluctuations, industrial ecosystem evolution, and financial risk transmission.

Traditional economic frameworks often treat structural entities—such as firms, markets, industries, and nation-states—as static, pre-given analytical containers. However, the rapid advancement of digital technology, the rise of global platform ecosystems, and recent geopolitical realignments have profoundly deconstructed and reshaped these conventional borders. This paper systematically establishes "Economic Boundary Science" as a novel paradigm to investigate how boundaries between markets, firms, countries, industries, and institutions are formed, shifted, dissolved, and redefined. Drawing upon transaction cost economics, property rights theory, evolutionary economics, and spatial network theory, we conceptualize economic boundaries as dynamic, non-continuous friction bands where marginal resource-allocation costs undergo structural jumps.
By constructing a dynamic cost-benefit equilibrium model expressed in pure textual mathematical abstractions, we demonstrate that optimal boundary positions are determined by the intersection of internal management costs and cross-boundary transaction costs. Our model highlights how technological innovations reduce boundary friction coefficients—driving organizational outsourcing, cross-industry convergence, and economic integration—while geopolitical risks, regulatory mandates, and institutional divergence elevate friction coefficients, prompting re-bordering and structural fragmentation. Furthermore, we apply this theoretical perspective to pressing contemporary issues, including anti-monopoly regulation for digital platforms that cross market bounds, and the strategic balancing between national economic security and global supply chain resilience. Ultimately, Economic Boundary Science offers a holistic, adaptive theoretical foundation for understanding the ongoing restructuring of the global economic architecture.

This paper systematically constructs the theoretical framework of Economic Information Ecology, delving into how economic information, as a dynamic element with living characteristics, undergoes processes of propagation, competition, mutation, and decay in complex economic systems, ultimately shaping micro-market behavior and macro-resource allocation efficiency. Traditional information economics largely treats information as a static, unevenly distributed resource or an exogenous shock variable, neglecting the endogenous laws governing information's self-replication, interaction, and ecological evolution within socio-economic networks.
This research does not rely on empirical experimental data but instead establishes a purely mathematical and conceptual logical framework from the intersection of evolutionary economics, statistical physics, and complex network theory. First, it establishes the basic paradigm of the economic information ecosystem, defining core concepts such as information population, information niche, and information environment. Second, it rigorously derives the diffusion dynamics equations of information in multi-layered economic networks, revealing the endogenous micro-mechanisms of information "mutation" and "decay." Third, it analyzes how nonlinear competition mechanisms within the information ecosystem trigger multiple equilibrium and disequilibrium phase transitions in the market. Finally, this paper introduces this ecological perspective into welfare economics and the macroeconomic resource allocation paradigm, demonstrating the deep-seated causes of market failure due to information ecological imbalances, and proposing an institutional design framework aimed at maintaining the diversity and robustness of the information ecosystem. The research shows that the key to improving resource allocation efficiency lies not only in eliminating information asymmetry, but also in building an economic information ecosystem with self-correcting capabilities and high resilience.
